Change Change Change

A bit of a delay in getting this announcement out there but everything involved was much bigger than anticipated. I made a very difficult decision to move my studio and my home. I have been working in the same building, The Karl Stirner Arts Building, for just shy of 30 years. I operated my studio out of the same building for 24 years but opportunity knocked and I answered. We have a wonderful new place in beautiful town of Kunkletown. How could I resist open space, quiet , clean air and beautiful landscapes along with the ability to house the studio on the same property as my home. I am finally starting to settle in and a few jobs have already been completed. I am looking forward to the new opportunities and experiences my new location will bring.

I missed getting updates out about art shows over the summer. We just did the Doylestown Arts Festival September 7th and 8th. We had some of the best weather for an outdoor festival and I myself also had one of my best festivals every. Thank you Doylestown for the support it is greatly appreciated. The next festival will be the Covered Bridge Festival at Knoebels which runs October 3rd thru the 7th. After that I will be on the Sugarloaf circuit and I will put information out about that shortly.

18th Berkshires Art Festival at Ski Butternut Great Barrington, MA

Show season has started again and I already have the Ambler Arts Festival behind me this year. Ambler was a new festival for me this year and it was a good one. I did have my difficulties with wind and some new products but the day was capped off by my key fob breaking in the ignition of my car. Lucky for my my friend and fellow photographer Scott Krycia was across from me. His help kept the situation from being much worse. My wife also came to the rescue bringing down the other key from over an hour away.

I hope that is all behind me now as I head to Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The hours for the festival are 10-6 Friday and Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. I am very much looking forward to the festival especially after visiting the area in the fall.

Boak's Bash

Privileged to photograph the retirement celebration of Dick Boak from Martin Guitar. The night was filled with performances by Craig Thatcher, Steve Miller, Ernie Sites, Jorma Kaukonen, David Bromberg, Trevor Gordon Hall, Laurence Juber, Forester and John Mayer. This is a shot of the finale when they all performed together Steve Miller's The Joker. Truly an night never to be forgotten.

1340Art Magazine

More good news this week. My submission to 1340 Art magazine has been accepted. I will be in the q4 edition which comes out October 1st. I am not sure yet which image will be published from the submission but they invited me to submit after seeing images from my Opposite series on Instagram.

Pennsylvania Center for Photography

This morning more good news from the Doylestown Arts Festival. I was asked to submit my Smoke Art to the Transformations exhibit at the Pennsylvania Center for the Arts while I was participating in the festival. I received an email this morning that my image Butterfly has been accepted. This image continues to be good to me as it was the very first image I sold. The sale was one I will always remember, as it was to Kari Whitman from the tv show Designing for Celebrities. The image was not part of the tv show though.
